The 'Merana' scheme is designed to facilitate medical treatment for Maldivian citizens living in Sri Lanka, India, and Malaysia
For each participant of Merana, the total coverage is MVR 150,000 per year. The amount of outpatient/OP services is MVR 10,000 per year out of the total coverage. The annual amount for inpatient/IP service is MVR 150,000 including outpatient coverage.
Under the Merana scheme, health service providers empanelled under the Aasandha Scheme in India and Sri Lanka will provide cashless services.
Maldivian citizens living in Malaysia registered under the Merana Scheme can complete the 'Reimbursement' form after receiving services from hospitals in Malaysia and submit the form to the Merana Scheme portal abroad.aasandha.mv along with copies of the bills received.
You can also apply for reimbursement by emailing [email protected]. You can also apply for reimbursement by sending a hard copy to Aasandha Customer Service Front Office on the 3rd floor of the Fen Building, Male’ city.
Reimbursement form can be downloaded from this website. The form can also be obtained from the embassy or consulate of India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Applications must be submitted for reimbursement within 60 (sixty) days from the date of treatment. Bills will be reimbursed within 20 (twenty) days of receipt submission.
