The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme from October 1st to December 31st, 2024, is MVR 817 million. This is a decrease of 4.3% compared to the same period last year. The total expenditure blocked under the Aasandha scheme in the fourth quarter of 2023 was MVR 854 million.
The number of individuals who received services under the Aasandha scheme in the fourth quarter of this year has also decreased compared to the same period last year. This year, 278,330 individuals received services, down from 279,851 last year.
In the fourth quarter of this year, a total of 2,327 individuals received treatment abroad, and 1,393 medical evacuations were conducted to transfer patients locally from one island to another for emergency medical treatments.
