Dr. Ahmed Shakeeb is a highly experienced Sports Physician and Sports Medicine Specialist with over 23 years of distinguished service. His work has significantly contributed to the advancement of sports medicine in the Maldives and the wider region.
He served as the National Football Physician of the Maldives and has held key roles within the Asian Football Confederation and the Football Association of Maldives, as well as contributing to the Ministry of Sports.
Dr. Shakeeb is an AFC Elite Medical Officer and a certified Doping Control Officer for both FIFA and AFC. He is also the Vice President and Founding Member of the Sports Medicine Association of Maldives, and serves on the Medical Committee of the Asian Volleyball Confederation.
Research & Publications:
His doctoral research focuses on the application of regenerative medicine in sports injuries, exploring innovative biological therapies to enhance tissue healing and recovery in athletes.
Dr. Shakeeb is also the author of the research-based publication “Biologic Enhancements for Accelerated Athlete Rehabilitation,” which highlights advanced treatment strategies aimed at optimizing recovery and performance outcomes in sports medicine.
