As part of the government's strategic efforts to bring essential services closer to the people, Aasandha Company Limited has inaugurated eight new service counters in various atolls across the country.
With the establishment of these counters, residents in eight additional islands will now have direct access to Aasandha services through dedicated staff stationed within their own communities.
The newly established service locations are:
- R. Ungoofaaru
- B. Eydhafushi
- Lh. Naifaru
- ADh. Mahibadhoo
- Dh. Kudahuvadhoo
- L. Gan
- GDh. Thinadhoo
- Fuvahmulah City
Prior to this expansion, Aasandha service counters were operational in Malé, Hulhumalé, F. Nilandhoo, Addu City, and Kulhudhuffushi City.
The addition of these new counters will significantly streamline the process for citizens applying for medical assistance and managing other administrative matters related to the scheme. Crucially, this initiative ensures that the public can access information and support regarding Aasandha services without the need to travel away from their home islands.
This expansion is a key initiative undertaken under the direct guidance of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, reflecting the administration's commitment to ensuring that healthcare-related services are accessible and convenient for all citizens. Under this project, the government aims to establish Aasandha service counters across all atolls, specifically targeting designated urban centers.
